But it’s about community! Startup weekend is a great way to meet people, learn how people work and find new people to work with. The break down is 7 shares for people. 2 for tonight, 2 for Saturday and a total of 7 for weekend.
The tips: Community first, be here (we might get Techrunched, whatever), Execute (If you’re a sniper on something, do that)
Four exits:
1) That was fun! We had fun, met a lot of people, learned a lot. It’s over.
2) Nights & weekends startup (tune it up before launch-Vosnap did that)
3) Core Team
4) Hire a CEO

A good crowd is gathering at Stag’s Head in Houston. If you’re in the area, please come by and have some Fat Tire or Smithwicks. We have a glass ready for you!

Rumor has it there are other things happening this weekend (like, I don’t know, art openings or something). It may be like when you were a kid and two of your friends were having birthday parties. You had to choose. This weekend is kind of the same, except that this birthday party has a pool (green screen), grab bags (swanky t-shirts) and clown shows (Andrew Hyde). We won’t twist your arm. Unless you’re a programmer. Then, we might twist it just a bit. Gently.
The weekend is graciously hosted by The Method Agency and promises to be entertaining, friendly and intense. They have a coffee pot, so bring your mugs! Let’s get wired! Like these dudes from SW NYC:

Sitting here next to the one and only Andrew Hyde - you might know him as the budding entrepreneur with the sexy surfer boy looks who founded StartupWeekend. StartupWeekend Toronto is a whole new animal - definitely much more structured than the inaugural event.
I wanted to share with you guys some of the ideas that are being presented here.
